Overview

Embark on a half-day tour that packs in a panoramic drive past the notable city landmarks of Halifax, plus independent exploration in nearby Peggy's Cove and a picturesque photo stop atop historic Citadel Hill. In the comfort of an air-conditioned motor coach, enjoy a passing glimpse of Nova Scotia's capital city. See the white facade of St. Paul's Church; see Spring Garden Road's commercial and cultural district; and admire Grand Parade Square's memorial statues. Then travel the famous Lighthouse Route along the South Shore's coast, which brings you to the quaint fishing village of Peggy's Cove. A haven for writers and artists situated at the shores of St. Margaret's Bay, this rural seaside community is where you'll enjoy about an hours' free time to shop, stroll, dine and take in one of the area's most well-known lighthouses, dating back to 1915. On the way back to town you'll make a quick photo stop at Citadel Hill, a 19th-century star-shaped British bastion filled with tales of Halifax's early beginnings. Head back to port having experienced an exciting array of Nova Scotian sights.
